Why I Personally Switched to Botanical & Vegan Skincare

For most of my life, I never gave much thought to what I put on my skin. Like many people, I trusted whatever was on the shelf — until my body started telling me a different story.

As I got older, my skin changed. It became more sensitive, more reactive, and far less tolerant of harsh ingredients. Products I had used for years suddenly felt uncomfortable. Tightness. Dryness. Irritation. My skin was clearly asking for something gentler.

That’s when I began paying closer attention — not just to skincare, but to how my body responds to what I use every day.

I started exploring botanical and vegan skincare, not as a trend, but as a necessity. I wanted formulas that worked with my skin, not against it. Ingredients that felt nourishing, calming, and supportive — not aggressive or overwhelming.

The difference was immediate and undeniable. My skin felt more balanced. More comfortable. Less reactive. It wasn’t about chasing perfection or reversing time — it was about respecting where my skin is now and giving it what it truly needs.

Choosing botanical and vegan skincare became a conscious decision rooted in wellbeing. Fewer harsh chemicals. More plant-based ingredients. Thoughtful formulations that prioritise skin comfort and long-term care.
